Our City Expert's Tips

Shop 'til You Drop!
This is THE place in Acapulco for buying gifts and souvenirs. Come prepared to haggle; it can be quite a battle of wills! Offer half the asking price and work up from there. You can usually negotiate a better price if you buy several items from the same vendor. Most of the vendors here speak enough English to sell you their merchandise.

It's best to go to El Parazal in the morning before the heat of the day sets in; hot and weary travelers may not have the stamina to bargain effectively.
