Our City Expert's Tips

This is one of Georgia's most popular state parks. The falls themselves are breathtaking (at 729 feet), and the cost for accommodations at either the Lodge or Cabins run from $60-$150 per night, making this a great place for family retreats or holiday gatherings. Surrounded by the north Georgia mountains, there are many places of interest for all age groups.

Outdoorsy
There is terrific hiking along the Appalachian Trail, and good, albeit rustic, accommodations at reasonable prices.
