Description

These ponds are actually man-made, but you would never guess it when you gaze at the incredible natural beauty that surrounds them. The ponds are a popular day-use area with picnic tables, shelters, and fireboxes, making them a perfect spot for a picnic before exploring the surrounding trails. In addition to a 2.5 kilometer trail that heads north from the ponds and connects with the Bankhead Interpretive trail, a short trail leads around the pond, and a more challenging trail climbs the steep hill behind the ponds.
