Our City Expert's Tips


Divorce Beach is located just opposite the more popular "Lovers Beach" so named because the surf there is gentler on the Sea of Cortez side. Divorce Beach is on the Pacific side where the waves are much more pronounced and not good for swimming. They are both near the arch so this is a good place just to relax on the sand and enjoy the ocean.

Adult Escape
If you plan on spending the day here, bring everything you need including drinks, snacks, sunscreen, and some sort of shade.

Family Time
Kids would enjoy making sandcastles on the beach here, but the area is not good for swimming. For that, walk or take a boat over to the other side at Lover's Beach where the surf is calmer.
