Our City Expert's Tips

The Hotel California is about an hour drive north of Cabo San Lucas. Even though many connect the name of this hotel to the famous Eagles song, it really has nothing to do with it. Still the current owner is grateful for the publicity and has worked hard to create a beautiful hotel in the middle of this artistic resort town. The food is great, as is the eclectic decor and inner courtyard.

Gourmet / Connoisseur
If you enjoy tequila, the Hotel California's Bar now serves their own brand of 100% agave tequila that is smooth and delicious.

Cupid (Romantic)
The rooms here are quirky as is the entire Hotel. This would make an ideal romantic escape as you explore the local area. Take a day trip to La Posada, a nearby hidden hangout of the rich and famous, if for nothing else than to have enjoy a delicious lunch.

Hotel California is a tucked away gem, 11/04/2006
Reviewer: Visitor (USA)

The architecture and layout of this hotel are magnificent. It cannot be compared to any other establishment - it's one of a kind. We went to the Hotel California in 2004 and want to go back. The hotel offers most any amenity you could need, including air conditioning. A must see if in Mexico.
