Our City Expert's Tips

The must-see attraction here is the StarRider Theater, a half-hour virtual-reality tour of outer space; 3-D effects make it look like the planets are actually floating right above your head. Most of the planetarium's actual exhibits are history and science-based, not as interactive and entertaining as at more modern museums.

Family Time
The Planetarium is definitely geared toward older children (8 and up). Younger children might get scared and/or overwhelmed during the show in the StarRider Theater.
