Our City Expert's Tips

The museum is geared toward children under 10, with lots of interactive exhibits for active little ones. One of the best places for kids to release energy is the giant sailing ship, where children can walk along the gangplank and climb up the crow's nest. The "Dinosaur Expedition" is another favorite; children can dig up giant bones that are "buried" in the dirt. Children get in free on the first Monday of every month.

Family Time
The Playmaze is a section designed for children 5 and under; it's a must if you're traveling with very young children. The exhibit lets preschoolers explore their very own mini-neighborhood, complete with grocery stores, garages and even a city bus that they can pretend to drive.
