Our City Expert's Tips

This church behind the Hotel de Ville stands out for its odd neo-classical facade literally stuck on the front of a gothic church, almost like a theater set. Pay attention to the two sun dials on the outside. One has Arabic numerals and is facing east, the other with Roman numerals facing west.

History Buff
This church was bombed by a German cannon in 1914 on Good Friday, killing over 100 people. There is a memorial inside.

Musical Journey
There are regular music concerts held here, particularly on the early 17th-century Grand Organ.
