Boca de Tomatlan has grown to include beach-style palapa restaurants and bars. It continues to be a nexus of activity for boats and water taxis headed to destinations along the southern coast of the bay, such as Las Animas, Quimixto, and Yelapa.

Local Culture
Boca has a local flavor, because it's the starting point for many water taxis that the locals use to get to the outlying towns which are accessible only by water.
