Our City Expert's Tips

Casa Kimberly offers a sneak-peak into the legend of the affair between Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, who met while filming "Cleopatra." She followed him during his filming of John Huston's "The Night of the Iguana." The international press (read: paparazzi) followed them in the scandal of the decade, since they were both married at the time, but not to each other. The reality of their life was much more placid: they bought homes across the street from each other in the area of town known as Gringo Gulch and built a over-the-street bridge to connect them. Casa Kimberly is open for day tours and is also a thriving bed-and-breakfast.

History Buff
Casa Kimberly offers a peek into the torrid romance of Liz Taylor and Richard Burton in the early 60s.
