Our City Expert's Tips

Gringo Gulch seems like an odd name for an area that is such a Mexican neighborhood, but it comes from the foreigners who began to arrive in the '50s and '60s and built on this hill, with its view of the mountains behind, the river below, the city all around, and the sea to the west. It's most famous for the homes of Liz Taylor and Richard Burton.

Walking
Wander around the cobblestone streets, but wear comfortable shoes.
