Our City Expert's Tips


This Pacific Heights historic home is currently owned by writer Danielle Steele and not open to the public in any way--although you can walk by it. The home across from Lafayette Park has 55 rooms, great views, and a Louis XVI ballroom.

The Spreckels mansion is NOT Victorian. It was built in 1913, a dozen years after the close of the Victorian era. It is in fact Late Edwardian
