Chiesa dei Gesuiti is a massive church exuding impressive excesses of every sort, inside and out. The weight of all the green and white marble and excessive (but masterful) carving exacerbates the perennial problem of subsidence, a constant problem in Venice. Sacristy, by Paolo il Giovane, and Titian's Martyrdom of San Lorenzo are in the first altar on the left.
