Description
The Battledore Museum (Hagoita Shiryokan) is a small but unique museum focusing entirely on the game of battledore and shuttlecock, which is an earlier form of and similar to the game of badminton. The exhibits showcase a small but rare collection of the paddles. The game dates back as early as the 14th century in Japan and even earlier in other ancient cultures. The museum chronicles the craft and game of battledore.
