Home to over 2,000 vendors, the San Jose Flea Market is a local tradition and considered the largest outdoor market of its kind in the country. This popular landmark was established in 1960 by George Bumb, who thought of the idea while working in the landfill business and noticing all the treasures that people tossed. The market continues to be a family-run business and a family-friendly attraction for residents and visitors to the Silicon Valley. Stroll through the aisles for a variety of goods from vintage items, books, furniture, toys, crafts, and just about anything you can think of. Attractions within the market include a variety of restaurants, food stands, produce, and even a barber shop. The market is also home to a many entertainment events and festivals throughout the year.
