Located near The Rocks, a popular visitor locale, Millers Point is the place to find all of the history and culture of the city without the crowds. The area has a history as an old port village, where merchant ships and sailors would dock, unload cargo, and wander the streets when they weren't at sea. There are plenty of pubs and boutique shops here to keep everyone in the group occupied, as well as lots of history in the buildings that fill the streets. One of the city's first Catholic worship venues is located here--St. Bridgid's church. It was constructed in 1835 and originally comprised a school and a church, but now only the church remains. There are also a few parks scattered about the Millers Point area, so if you have the young ones with you, there's something for them to do here as well.
