Description
The 1,016-seat main venue at the Carolina Theatre holds an impressive lineup of acts and performances year-round. The 1926 Beaux Arts building missed being steamrolled by Urban Renewal funds in the 1960s and 1970s and is now a cultural icon in downtown Durham. Nationally known performers and international acts come through at a steady pace throughout the year and the arthouse movie theatre upstairs shows the best of the best.
