Third Floor Buddhist Temple
109 Waverly St
San Francisco, CA 94108

This venerable Buddhist temple was constructed more than five decades ago. One of its highlights is an altar made from imported Chinese wood--a beautiful piece of art that adorns the old building. There are symbols and signs of Tibetan Buddhism throughout the temple, from tiny Buddha statues inside five-foot tall mandalas to the shrine that depicts Buddha and his followers. The temple was named after its predecessor, the Norras Buddhist Temple in Tibet.
