Description

The Commonwealth Stadium is located just to the northeast of downtown Edmonton; it is hard to miss the biggest stadium in Canada. It was built for the 1978 Commonwealth Games, which Edmonton hosted. Now, the natural grass surface is home to the Edmonton Eskimos Football Team, the Canadian National Soccer Team, and host to major concerts throughout the year; seating capacity exceeds 60,000. Admission varies widely depending on the event.
