Description
The Coligny Theatre, originally known as The Island Theater was opened in 1972 and held the distinction of being Hilton Head's only theater for years. The Island Theater slowly declined until it shut down in the late 90s, but in a spark of rejuvenation the venue was reopened as the Coligny Theatre in 2002. The one-screen theater today shows primarily "art shows" and independent films throughout the year. Shows are offered twice a day to the public.
