There are several music venues on Hilton Head, but the Jazz Corner strives the hardest to offer a one-of-a-kind experience. The owners, Charles Swift and Bob Masteller, opened the club in 1999, and pride themselves on offering superb live jazz, played in a traditional American style, by locally, nationally, and internationally known jazz artists. Masteller, a world-famous musician, and Swift, a connoisseur of fine jazz, have created a club that aims to educate the public about the art of jazz while offering high-class entertainment. The club's artist profiles include Duncan Sheik, a Grammy nominated artist who wrote “Barely Breathing,” Hotlanta, a New Orleans based Dixieland jazz group, and Jazzanova--another southern influenced jazz group. They aim to please you at the Jazz Corner, and do so successfully, as the club is known on the island for offering a unique and captivating experience.
