Boardwalk Hall is one of the city's most popular venues, used to host a variety of live events, from boxing matches to concerts. It first opened in 1929, and is now designated as a National Historic Landmark. The building underwent a $90 million renovation process, which restored it to its original grandeur, and also added modern amenities such as elevators, a video scoreboard, and club seating areas. The grand interior is stunning with design details such as a soaring barrel-vaulted ceiling, metal-pan ceiling tiles, proscenium pylons, and many other unique 1920s-era accoutrements. The hall is also the proud home of one of the largest pipe organs in the world, complete with over 33,000 pipes! The venue is truly an amazing work of art, providing a great backdrop for popular local events such as orchestras, concerts, conventions, and sporting events.
