For some of New Jersey's best family fun, head to Gillian's Wonderland Pier, where you'll find rides, games, and amusements to suit any age group. Gillian's was established in 1928 by David Gillian, a long-time Atlantic City visitor and entrepreneur. He called his attraction the "Fun Deck" and installed its two original attractions--a Ferris Wheel and a Merry-Go-Round. Roy Gillian, David's son, took over the family business in 1957 when his father retired, and started the Wonderland Pier. Today, Gillian's Wonderland Pier offers over 30 rides and attractions, spread over four different areas, including Indoor, Midway, Lower Deck, and Fun Deck. Older kids will love thrillers such as the Sling Shot or the Sizzler, and the younger ones in the group are sure to like rides that are aimed specifically at their age group, such as the Bear Affair and the Little Wheel. For a classic Atlantic City amusement experience, Gillian's is a great place to visit.
