The Costume gallery is located in Palazzo Pitti's neoclassical villa, which can be reached through the Boboli gardens. The exhibition illustrates the evolution of fashion from the 16th century to around 1930 by showing a series of characteristic clothes for each period. Accessories and underwear are displayed in the showcases on the walls. The ballroom was used for displays on subjects which concerned fashion.
