Hanalei Bay is well known for its spectacular beauty, as its ivory-white sand and cobalt-blue sea evoke the classic image of a Pacific oasis. Surrounded by many famous resorts, this is one of the most comfortable and luxurious parts of Kauai. Notes: To reach the bay from the airport, drive north on Highway 56 for 30.5 miles through Kapa'a, Kilauea, and Princeville to Hanalei. Turn right on Aku Rd (immediately before the Ching Young Shopping Village). Aku dead-ends into Weke. Turn left or right on Weke for various beach accesses. (Turn right for Hanalei Pavilion and Pier.)
