Expert Pick Off The Beaten Path Must See

Address:
George Town
Great Exuma, The Grand Bahama Island

Description

Located just one mile off the coast of the main settlement of George Town in Great Exuma, Stocking Island is full of beaches and underwater phenomena waiting to be discovered. The long stretches of beachfront are loaded with seashells, nature trails and plenty of snorkeling opportunities. More serious marine explorers will marvel at grottos such as the Mystery Cave, an inland blue hole formed by a glacial drip that extends to 70 feet below the island surface. Although nature is the primary draw of the island, there are modern amenities. At Hotel Higgins Landing you can enjoy a gourmet meal and rent boats and other sporting equipment. The island is only accessible via private boat or ferry. Consult your hotel for which is most convenient for you.
