Description
The Atlanta Preservation Center works diligently to preserve and protect the city's most historic and significant buildings, neighborhoods, and other landmarks. They do a lot of advocacy and education work with the community, such as creating school programs to teach about the city's historic structures and how to rehabilitate and recycle them. Trained volunteers from the Center lead regular walking tours of the city that spotlight historic districts and specific buildings, and make for the perfect way to get to know the history of Atlanta from the point of view of a local resident.
