Description

This East Dallas Art Center hosts two non-profit organizations: Documentary Arts and Contemporary Culture. Documentary Arts works to collect and archive a variety of art forms from all cultures. You will find the Texas African American Photography Collection and Archive here. Contemporary Culture focuses on the promotion of art from various cultures in mediums including literary and performing arts. Columbia Art sponsors a program called "Art in the Neighborhood" to encourage artistic development in Dallas youth. This is a popular place for visual and book art exhibits rotated on a weekly basis. Admission is free, but you will need to make reservations for larger groups.
