The BayLink Ferries run daily between San Francisco and Vallejo, a city located on San Francisco Bay, fourteen miles south of Napa. The ferries are a popular way for locals to go directly to downtown San Francisco without the hassle of driving, parking, and commute traffic. If you're traveling to the Napa Valley, you may not want to use it as transportation since you'll probably need a car in the valley. However, if you're staying in the valley, it's a great way for a quick visit to San Francisco and a wonderful trip if you are traveling with kids. A one-way ride takes about one hour.
