Description

While staying in Reno, head to the very southern tip of Lake Tahoe, and direct yourself toward Cave Rock, 75 impressive feet of jutting stone and the throat of an extinct volcano. It also, according to legend, sits atop the underwater cavern dwelling of Tahoe Tessie which is Lake Tahoe's exciting equivalent of the Loch Ness Monster. Being in the presence of a mythic being like Tessie is rivaled only by the spiritual feeling of walking near a burial ground for the Washoe Indians who used to call the area home.
