Description

Cave Creek was founded in the 1870s as a gold-mining camp. Today, the camp (and the gold) is long-gone, but the museum, now housed in Cave Creek's historic (and original) "Wild West" church, offers the opportunity to relive the experience. By paying a visit to the Cave Creek Museum, you will have the opportunity to examine old-time Western artifacts, view historical artwork, and even take a tour of old mining cabins (which, in the '20s, housed tuberculosis patients). It may not be the Old West today, but you will certainly get a feel for how it used to be.
