If you need some expert instruction, the Ken Venturi Golf Academy is located here. The open course does mean that wind can become a major problem during play. Lorenzi Park One of the oldest parks in Las Vegas, the place does show its age a bit with its metal playground equipment, but the kids love it. A popular feature is the fishing pond, which, although sometimes algae-covered, is accessible year-round and stocked with rainbow trout in winter and catfish in summer. The pond limit is three fish per day. This park is also home to the Nevada State Museum and Historical Society, a great learning experience for all ages. Lost City Museum

Lost City Museum Artifacts unearthed from Pueblo Grande de Nevada, now known as the Lost City after being inundated by Lake Mead, are the highlights of this museum. Among the exhibits held in the pueblo-style building are hunting weapons, pottery, ceremonial items, and utensils for gathering and preparing food. The original Anasazi Wing was built in 1935 and is currently devoted to the area's earliest people. In 1973, the museum expanded, building a second wing devoted to the geology of the area, as well as a tribute to the Paiute Indians. Again, in 1981, the museum expanded once more to include a wing that contains an actual Pueblo formation excavated by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) circa 1935.
