Description

This beautiful Victorian home turned art gallery is named for Carl Van Vechten, New York photographer and art patron. The Stiegletz Collection includes pieces by American artists John Marin, Arthur Dove, Marsden Hartley and other modernists. Visitors will enjoy Van Vechten photographs, including the Harlem Renaissance, plus special collections from Fisk University. The first floor of the gallery hosts temporary exhibits, which change frequently. Admission is free, but a donation is requested at the door.
