Description

If you want to know more about the history and culture of Tokyo, then visit this place. In the permanent exhibition area, you would find original documents, the replications and large-scale models, which are based on detailed research. A Volunteer Guided tour is available everyday.

Notes: Last admittance is 30 minutes before closing. When a national holiday falls on a Monday, the museum is open, and it closes on Tuesday instead. It also remains open when a Grand Sumo Tournament is in town.

By Subway: Get off at Ryogoku (in front of Edo Tokyo Museum) on the Oedo Line. The museum is a one-minute walk from the station’s A3 and A4 exits.
