Description

This museum and cultural center near Interstate 10, about 90 miles north of Tucson, features Indian crafts and artifacts of the tribes living in the American Southwest, most prominently the Gila, Hopi, Navajo and Tohono O'odham nations. The heritage park offers a comprehensive overview of Native American history. Baskets, sand paintings and silver jewelry are for sale at the gift shop; refreshments are served at the museum restaurant. It's a great destination for an educational outing with the kids.
