Snorkel and Meet Creatures in the Sea
Planet Earth

Planet Earth
If you go snorkeling--or even if you just head to the Aquarium in Santo Domingo--the underwater life in the Dominican Republic is full of beautiful and unusual fish. Take a good look and draw what you see!

Instructions:

Have you ever snorkeled before? It's the coolest thing ever. You put on a mask, a tube to breathe through, a pair of flippers, your favorite swimsuit, and suddenly, you can see and breathe underwater!
There's a whole other world down there. Funny looking plants that are purple, red, and yellow, colorful fish with dots and stripes, coral that look like tubes or even elephant ears, lobsters that click and clack--it's amazing. If you get a chance to snorkel on your vacation, definitely try it! You may see an angel fish--a white and black fellow with two funny little "whiskers" growing from the bottom of his lip. Or a clown fish--an orange and white striped fish that is as big as your pinkie finger. And may be a couple of blue tangs --fluorescent blue fish that like to swim together. What was the neatest looking fish you saw? Did you see your mom or dad with snorkel gear on? What did they look like? What did you like the best about the entire experience?
Have fun and when you finally get out of the water, draw the fish (and people) that you saw. Keep your drawing so that you can show your friends what lives and swims underwater in the Dominican Republic!
