Kevin Revolinski
City Expert
Kevin blames a childhood full of National Geographic maps for his desire to travel. He has lived in Turkey, Italy, Panama, and Guatemala. His articles and photography have appeared in a variety of national and international publications, and he wrote the Virgin Islands sections for Rough Guide to the Caribbean. He regularly exhibits his travel photography in venues around southern Wisconsin. His first book, The Yogurt Man Cometh, is about his year as a teacher in Turkey, and his most recent book is The Wisconsin Beer Guide: A Travel Companion. Both were released in 2006 and are available through most major booksellers. His next book, about his year in the deep south of Italy, is looking for a home. He lives in Madison, Wisconsin where he is at work on a novel and a collection of short stories.

Janeen Bittmann
Photographer
Known for her malformed (but well-intentioned) balloon animals, Janeen is very at home in St. Croix, USVI, where she directs AmeriCorps volunteers for the longest running non-profit in the USVI. A playful Minnesotan from Anoka, "Halloween capitol of the world," she made her way to the islands by way of Arizona and Guatemala where she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer. An avid outdoorswoman, Janeen says, "I'm not driven about a career in the traditional sense, but I'm driven about recreation and trying new things." As a certified Parks and Recreation Professional, her passions include photography, amateur clowning, and kite boarding. Her past jobs include school bus driver and "Fareway Queen" at the Links @ Northfork. And as far as food goes, she loves all kinds; but make no mistake, she cuts the veggies, but she doesn't do the cooking.

Kevin also helped out with some photos for the Virgin Islands. There's so much color to capture in the islands, so when we were lucky enough to get a City Expert with archives that held some of the best shots, we jumped for joy!
