Christopher P. Baker, City Expert for Anaheim and Jamaica, originally hails from the sunny dales of Yorkshire, England, but since relocating to California in 1980 has risen to become one of the world's leading experts on, and guidebook authors for, California and practically the entire Caribbean region, as well as many other destinations further afield. Along with his articles in more than 150 worldwide publications, award-winning guidebooks on The Bahamas, Cuba, Costa Rica, Panama, etc., plus his acclaimed literary travelog Mi Moto Fidel: Motorcycling Through Castro’s Cuba, Mr. Baker claims the distinction of having written Lonely Planet Jamaica, Great Destinations: Palm Springs & Desert Resorts, plus the last three editions of National Geographic Traveler California. An acclaimed public speaker, Mr. Baker has appeared on Fox Magazine, ABC, NBC, the National Geographic Channel, and NPR Radio. A recipient of Master's degrees in both Latin American Studies and Education, Mr. Baker is also a published photographer and an active lecturer, trip planner, and tour escort. His many awards include the Lowell Thomas Award 2008 "Travel Journalist of the Year" and the Caribbean Tourism Organization's "Travel Writer of the Year 2005." He currently resides in Palm Springs, California.

Varun Baker is a freelance photographer based in Jamaica. His love for travelling has brought him to several places including, India, Italy, Bazil, Bermuda, England, Holland, France, North America, and the list can go on, his camera following him everywhere. He also enjoys learning languages and speaks Italian fluently after spending 5 years in Rome.
Varun has been published in a Jamaican magazine called First. He has a passion for black and white and after graduating from the University of the West Indies will continue to find cultural and social images and places to capture.
His favourite food is ackee and salfish or some Bucatini all'Amatriciana - without the pancetta (no Pork). His prefered escapes include (can't give them all away, hence the term escape): Silver Sands on the Jamaican North Coast and Trastevere in Rome.
