April 18, 2008 -- Home&Abroad Implements Major Site Upgrade with Better Interface and New Features

BOULDER, CO (4/18/08) – Home&Abroad, the industry leader in online trip planning, today announced the release of the website's biggest upgrade since its initial launch in March 2006. With a more user-friendly interface, better browse functions, and more personalized event and product matching, the site once again raises the bar for online trip planning.

“Being rated one of the web's top 25 travel-related websites by Travel & Leisure last Fall was a tremendous validation for us,” said Ray Agostinelli, VP of Product Development. “But we challenged ourselves not to sit on our laurels. Indeed, we want to be constantly improving the site. With our new release, we're able to offer a wider range of helpful information for travelers delivered via a more cohesive overall user experience. We're proud of where we stand now, and expect to remain among the recognized leaders in on-line travel tools.”

The new build's enhancements include:

* Attraction-based suggestions of Things To Do while traveling. These include tours and other services offered by commercial operators, which can be booked in advance through affiliate partners Viator, Tourcaster, and GoCard.

* Expanded Attraction pages that are easier to navigate.

* A redesigned Travel Itinerary page that summarizes trip details, allows the user to add trip notes, and makes it a breeze to find the perfect hotel, restaurants, Things To Do, free Activities, and products that will complement the trip.

* An expanded Destination Browse feature that makes it easier to find Attractions, Things To Do, hotels, restaurants, a Travel Shop, and free Activities for that city.

The enhanced site was in beta for 5 weeks, collecting user input while the product was refined. Today marks its official public release.
