Home&Abroad Releases Updated Version of the Web's Leading Trip Planner
BOULDER, CO (06/12/2009) – Home&Abroad, an award-winning travel company, just updated its consumer site, homeandabroad.com to feature destination itineraries, attractions, and activities. The new site also foregrounds H&A partner’s, Travel Channel’s resources. This is the second significant modification Home&Abroad has made to its site in two years. The earlier enhancement focused mainly on usability and feature-sets. “We are always making functional improvements but thought it was time to give the site a new look,” says Mark Schroeder, CEO of Home&Abroad. “Our goal was to create something inspiring but easy to use.”

Home&Abroad has simplified the homepage of the site and added new travel resources. “Through a partnership with Travel Channel travel videos and stories and news are all available from the homepage. The new site highlights Home&Abroad’s award-winning trip planner that has received favorable reviews in a variety of publications and channels (including CNN, Travel&Leisure, RatingsGuy). The Trip Planner includes a rules-based automated itinerary generator, mapping via Google mash-ups, sharing functions, and more.

With this new release, Home&Abroad hopes to surprise its returning users and give new users better cues about where to start planning their trips. “We're proud of what we’ve accomplished and are determined to remain a recognized leader in online travel tools,” says Ray Agostinelli, VP of Product Development. “To do that you have to be constantly improving your sites. Becoming a leader is one thing, staying ahead requires a different kind of commitment. We are not only constantly imagining and creating new things but also continuing to improve old ones.”
